The Teacher

My name
is Claudia, I'm 35, I have been living in Bologna since 2003, where I immediately began to
teach at the M. Zonarelli Intercultural
Center in Bologna.
I volunteered there as a teacher, helping non-EU foreigners, coming mainly
from Eastern European countries and the African continent. In January
of 2004, I founded, with the help of some other teachers, the
non-profit organization "Parapagal
Association”. This organization is aimed at teaching the Italian
language (L2), as wells as offering intercultural mediation and
integration into social and professional life.
Thanks to
this first field experience, in February of 2004, I started my training
work and activity at the Institute
of Italian Culture in Bologna. I
completed the 800 hours of theory and practice program, and obtained
the certificate of L2 teacher recognized by the Ministry of Education.
This included a training course by the internal teachers of the
Institute, From the very beginning, I was able to gain experience in a
classroom setting by leading groups and individual lessons, as well as
preparing the teaching material. I did not use lectures to teach, but
rather interactive methods, via the inductive activity, the deepening
of typically Italian culture and mentality, preparing students for the
CILS and Ditals certifications.
With the
use of printed and audiovisual material, studying will be easy, like a
game.
I have
worked steadily at this private school for three years, and continue to
run my own business. I am currently studying for a Masters, for the
role of professional counselor. With this degree, I hope to enhance my
effectiveness as a teacher and further my career. Through all these
experiences, I hope to gain more passion for teaching and for the
'care' of others.

COOKING CLASSES
It’s
possible for the students of the Italian course to participate in an
Italian cooking course: in an informal and convivial atmosphere, the
cooking teacher will guide you in preparing a complete Italian
menu. After cooking, you will sit down for a relaxing time and
enjoy the meal.
Price: morning lesson (with lunch) 45 euro; afternoon
lesson (with dinner) 60 euro.

particular wines –not included in the price-.
